Sloan Aulgur

Research Lead, Matter Design

Sloan Aulgur is a multi-media designer who celebrates all scales of space. She is a second-year M.Arch candidate at MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning, where her work often explores various time scales, performance, and interactive mediums. She is motivated by global challenges that demand simultaneous consideration for the micro and macro scales of human experience. Sloan earned a Bachelor of Interior Design with a Minor in Communication from the University of Arkansas where her previous work prioritized experiential storytelling, interactive details, and designing for the subconscious habits of end users. She has previously worked as an interior designer for various firms, including Marlon Blackwell Architects, Gensler Seattle, and Somewhere Studio. Sloan is a Myers-Briggs ENFJ, and an Enneagram 3w2, filled with an abundance of curiosity and humor.
