İlkyaz Sarımehmetoğlu (she/her/hers) is a transdisciplinary designer, researcher, and dancer whose work lies at the intersection of responsive material systems, computational textiles, and performance-driven sensory design. She is a SMArchS Computation (’27) candidate at MIT Architecture. Her academic background spans architecture and digital and material technologies, where she explored a range of fabrication methods and making mediums. These include robotic fabrication for architectural technologies, machine knitting for large-scale architectural assemblies, and material systems for haptic interaction. (personal website)
